Angelica E. Eclar is a musical chameleon. An active performer since the age of three, she is a gifted vocalist and accompanist in the classical, jazz and gospel genres, as well as a highly-respected teacher, conductor and church musician. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from La Sierra University in Riverside, CA, where she became the youngest-ever Minister of Music at the La Sierra University Church, overseeing music programs for a membership of more than 5000. A founding member and composer-in-residence of the Christian group, Promise, Eclar is also a veteran of a wide variety of performing ensembles, including Ad Hocc Lovrs, the Bach Collegium San Diego, Mosaic, Ocean Park Chamber Singers, Pacific Camerata, Southern California Chamber Singers, and the Tomas Luis de Victoria Choir.
Angelica has taught in the Adventist school system for more than ten years, maintained an active piano and voice studio for fifteen years, and is currently on the music faculty of Escondido Adventist Academy. She is in high demand as an accompanist, yet serves as Children’s and Youth Music Director of First United Methodist Church of Escondido, a fitness trainer, owns a wedding coordination business, and is co-founder of Modern Songtales.
